p-p-p-pea!

this is a pea. it is the juvenile version of the smooth trunkfish. they are literally the size of a pea and probably the cutest thing i've seen underwater thus far. the fins and tail are translucent at this stage so it's just a little black ball bobbin' around and peckin' away with those cute little lips.

I don't think they're real....everyone keeps saying they see them, but where are they when I go out diving??? Hiding from me? But you're right, the cutest thing in the entire world. If they're anything like the teeny baby trunkfish of the next stage (walnuts), I'm going to have to do my nitrox pretty damn quick so I can sit there and watch them for hours.....great photo by the way!
